You’re in for a treat today. Today I will be reviewing the Hiiragi sisters, Tsukasa and Kagami. Yes, I know you can see Kagami’s pantsu in that picture.

First up is the younger of the Hiiragi Twins, Hiiragi Tsukasa (柊 つかさ) Standard Lucky Star figma accessories apply, the stand, bag, set of hands and extra face. I forgot to mention in my Konata review that the girls’ faces can be interchanged, a point I forgot to include when I was snapping pics. Oh well, maybe I’ll do a special Lucky Star face swapping special next week or something *wink wink*. Tsukasa also comes with her favorite cel phone, with her favorite gunpla building mascot Keroro Gunso hanging off of it. The phone has a little (tramadol) notch on it that fits naturally in Tsukasa’s left hand, and comes with a right hand for texting.

Pros: Hands down, the most moe figma that GSC/MAX has created so far until they decide to release a Yutaka figma. Her extra face makes her look even cuter than she already is. 萌え!!

Cons: To be honest with you, the only problem I have with this is the same problem I have with the other Lucky Star figma. The lack of an accessory hand. You have to bring in the accessory hand from another figma in order to have these guys hold something like Raising Heart or Excalibur.

Next up is Tsukasa’s slightly older sister, Hiiragi Kagami (柊 かがみ) The same set of rules applies here, with a few twists. She comes with the stand, bag, hands and a smiling face (I love that smiling face btw) but her bonus accessory is a set of hands made for the white book she comes with. The book comes with a notch similar to Tsukasa’s cel which is specially designed for the hands it comes with. The book is completely white, but comes with a pair of stickers so you can give it a cover. Technically speaking, if you have the skills and knowhow, you can print out custom covers for that white book for Kagami to read. My suggestion? The Sousuke/Gauln yaoi doujinshi she found at Comiket at that one episode that made her face beet red. MAX/GSC, if you’re listening, if you could make this happen with a red-faced Kagami accessory, I would love you forever <3 As with other twin-tailed figma, Kagami’s twin-tails are attached to her head by ball joints, but Kagami’s twin tails fork off near the ribbon, giving her hair a bit more personality than other figma.

Pros: Did I mention I love that extra face? Because I do. It makes Kagami as great as Tsukasa as a figma and makes me love posing her. Also, it’s fun to put her head on other figma, since in the OAV Konata forces her to cosplay as both Tohsaka Rin, but also Hatsune Miku. I haven’t used the included stickers, but am trying to find a way to make some custom stickers to give her the aforementioned Full Metal Panic! doujinshi from the Comiket episode.

Cons: As with Tsukasa, I don’t really have any problems with the Kagami figma. It’s awesome, and I love (accutane) posing her!

The Hiiragi twins are an absolute joy to play with, and a must for any figma collector; doubly so if you are a Lucky Star fan. Please don’t purchase one without the other! Even better, order them both at the same time! Tsukasa and Kagami will set you back around $25-30 each. I’m looking at HLJ’s website, and it looks like they’re out of Kagami, but she may be reissued later!
