Today I lasix review one of the 2 special edition figmas I own.  That figma is the lovely Saber Lily (セイバー・リリィ.)  Saber Lily hails from the PS2 game Fate/unlimited codes, which will also soon be available on PSP and localized for english speaking audiences.  The figma comes with the Special Edition of the game, but I ordered this figma through eBay, so it did not include the game.

Saber Lily comes with a few special accessories that other figma sets don’t have.  Firstly, she comes with the standard 3 segment stand and figma base.  As with the original Saber, she comes with an extra set of bangs, and an extra face which gives Saber a sultry look.  It’s a great face, really, and can be used on the original Saber as well.  Saber Lily comes with Caliburn, but not Excalibur.  If you have Saber, you can loan Excalibur to Saber Lily easily, so don’t worry.  The stand comes with a small clip that attaches at the peg that usually goes into the stand hole on the back of the figma.  Saber also has a figma stand hole on her rear end, should you need to use it instead of the clip.  The hole can be covered with a small peg that is removable.  Saber Lily finally comes with the same set of hands that Saber comes with, albeit much shinier.  Saber only came with 6 hands, but as you can see in the image, Saber Lily comes with 8.  She comes with 2 additional accessory hands for holding her sword straight instead of at an angle with her arm.  The top image shows what this looks stromectol like.  This gives you many more options with regards to posing, and is a welcome addition.

Here is the figma hole in Saber Lily’s backside ;)

Here is an image of the stand with the clip.  The hole has been sealed with the peg.

The lovely Saber Lily wears a garter!  So sexy!

Pros: Special Edition aside, this is a pretty nice figma.  All of her armor parts are SUPER shiny, and the extra face she comes with is a nice change of pace from Saber’s ‘angry’ and ‘angrier’ faces from the original.  The clip is great if you don’t like or are uncomfortable with inserting and removing the stand from the back.  The extra hands are fantastic and adds a lot more flexibility in posing, even if there is no joint in the wrist.  The 3 joint stand is also a lot tighter than your standard stand.

Cons: It would’ve been nice if she came with Excalibur and Avalon, but I’m sure there’s a reason for that.  The peg for the figma hole in her backside is a bit small, and is loose at least on mine.  Other than those, this figma is perfect

Since Saber Lily is a special edition figma, you can’t really find it out there normally anymore.  It is likely that if you do find it, you’ll have to purchase the game as well.  The average price I’ve seen when the bundle was readily available is around $120.  I only recommend this figma if you REALLY love Saber, and enjoy playing as Saber Lily in Fate/unlimited codes.  She is a great looking figma, and if you get the chance to pick her up for a good price and don’t mind the price point, feel free to pick her up!
